What is BARF Analyzer and how does it work?
BARF Analyzer is a web application that analyzes your dog's current feeding ration and reveals which nutrients are missing or excessive — before it shows on your dog's health. You enter what you actually feed, and the app generates a nutrient map with the strengths and weaknesses of your ration.
How are you different from ration-building calculators?
Existing tools work on a "build a ration" basis — you have to assemble a complete meal from scratch. We do the opposite: we analyze what you already feed. You don't have to change anything or study first — you start by learning how your current ration really performs.
How much does it cost?
The analysis itself is free — it shows the nutrient map and names what is missing or excessive. The specific guidance on how to fix, replace, or adjust what was found is a one-time purchase of €9.90. No hidden fees and no automatic commitment.
Does the analysis replace veterinary care?
No. BARF Analyzer is an educational and informational tool — it is not a veterinary service, it does not diagnose, and it does not replace examination or treatment. If your dog has health problems, always consult a veterinarian. The analysis results can be a useful starting point for that conversation.
What information do I need to enter?
Basic details about your dog (weight, age, activity level) and the composition of the current ration — ingredients and their approximate amounts. The more accurate your inputs, the more accurate the result.
What is the analysis based on?
We evaluate the ration in two ways: against the BARF model (ingredient ratios of raw feeding) and against the NRC (National Research Council) nutritional guidelines for dogs. This double check shows whether the ration works both as a whole and at the level of individual nutrients.
My dog looks healthy. Is the analysis even worth it?
That is exactly when it matters most. Many nutritional deficiencies — such as omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, vitamin E, selenium, or manganese — show no outward signs for months or years and are discovered only once they cause a problem. The analysis reveals them earlier.
Is the analysis suitable for puppies, pregnant dogs, or dogs with a medical condition?
The app is primarily designed for healthy adult dogs. Puppies, pregnant and lactating dogs, and dogs with diagnosed conditions have specific needs — for them we recommend an individual consultation with a veterinarian or a qualified nutritionist. Specialized modules for these groups are in preparation.
Do I need an account? What happens to my data?
An account lets you save results and track your ration over time. In our research statistics you never appear under your name — every account is replaced by an anonymous numeric identifier.
Do you sell my data to third parties?
No. We never sell your data or share it for third-party marketing. Anonymized statistics are used exclusively for research into dog nutrition and health. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The brand I feed is not in the app. What should I do?
Email us with the brand and product name. We continuously expand the database and will gladly add missing products.
How do payments work and can I get a refund?
Payments are processed through a secure third-party payment gateway; we never see or store your card details. The paid solution is digital content delivered immediately after payment — once delivered, withdrawal and refunds are therefore not possible. Before completing the payment you tick a checkbox giving express consent to immediate delivery.
